Throughout my entire life I have been surrounded by knitters and crocheters. My Grandma sold her amazing creations for a living - I’m pretty sure everyone in my hometown has owned something made by her at some point. Even to this day when I visit home, the evening consists of curling up on the couch with my Mum, both of us with our hooks and yarn in hand and some ridiculous movie on that we've seen a zillion times (Zoolnader anyone?)
My Nanny and my Mum both, use to write for our local paper, so I feel like I must have some kind of writing talent in me somewhere.
As for the wine, it’s what I “officially” do for a living. I work at a pretty cool liquor store here in East Van, I have awesome co-workers and I get a sweet discount. I also work at another BC VQA only wine store in Yaletown so a lot of wines I write about are from BC. I seriously can’t imagine a better career choice than drinking wine
What is this blog about?
I have so many thoughts and ideas floating around in my head it can get pretty crowded up there. This blog is pretty much me chronicling my crocheting adventures (I'm about to open up my own Etsy shop where you can buy my lovely creations) and I’ll also be writing reviews on wines that I like (or very rarely, don’t like) and anything else that tickles my fancy.

- Movies/TV - Dexter, X-Men (cartoon and movies), Man Men, 10 things I hate about you, Legally Blonde, Babel, The new Star Trek, all the Star Wars (everyone says the first 3 were awful but the overall story is SO good!) Disney Robin Hood, The Secret of Nimh, Dazed and Confused, Community

- Smell of pavement after it rains
- Being around any kind of bonfire, wood stove or regular fireplace

- Being out in the sunshine

- Eating meals outside - Balcony, patio, picnic
- I consider myself a cereal connoisseur, I could eat it for every meal, everyday.
- I have 4 tattoos, green star on my face, peter pans shadow on my hip, age stripes on my arm (not a bar code) and my most recent work in progress a sugar skull and flowers spanning across my chest
- I'm scared of Zombies...like seriously wake up in the middle of the night, heart pounding cause I just had a zombie nightmare (I have no idea where this fear came from, in reality I know it's ridiculous)
- I probably drink on average 6-8 cups of tea a day, with sugar and milk
- When I put my face in the shower stream I hold my breath, I don’t know why
- I like all variety's of wine, just depends on my mood or food
- I'm always cold, it could be the middle of July perfect blue skies and sunny out and I’ll still leave the house with leg warmers hidden under my jeans
- I have never broken or sprained any bones or been in the hospital for any reason until I gave birth to my son, and even then, I was out within 24 hours
- I'm obsessed with clean teeth; brush, floss, pick, the works! I smile a lot so I feel it’s important to keep my pearly whites perfect
- My all time favourite meal is my Mums Roast Beef, Mashed potatoes and Roast potatoes (cause she's awesome like that and makes both), roasted veggies, bottomless Yorkshire puddings and red wine gravy, just thinking about it makes my mouth salivate
- My favourite part about having a kid, is getting to be a kid again. It's like getting a second childhood
- Having my son completed my life in a way I never thought possible, I love him more than anything
